Jamie refers to himself as a blue-collar writer. No awards, no million sellers, no movie adaptations, but he has published every week for more than 30 years. That’s a career.

Like so many writers, Beckett’s initial dream was to write the Great American Novel. Or at least a best seller. While in pursuit of that goal he discovered something far more valuable: contentment.

He’s found success writing a weekly column for more than 15 years for General Aviation News, a national periodical published out of Washington state. During that time he’s also self-published several fictional titles as short form novelettes and one full length novel.
